Who else has kids off of school this week? We added a few more days to our weekend guide for those looking for some fun while kids are home this week!

Bounce Houses at Greenheck (Weston)
Wednesday 6pm – 8pm
Admission: $5
Details: For Children 11 and under. There will be 4 bounce house, one is designated for children 5 and under. Must wear socks.

Greenheck Field House Open Climbing wall and Public Skating (Weston)
Friday 7:30pm – 9pm (staking), 7pm – 9pm (climbing wall)
Admission: $3 for skating, $3 for skates, $5 for climbing wall

Kid’s Club at Sam’s Pizza (Schofield)
Thursday and Friday 10am – 11:30am
Admission: $5 – $20
Details: Here’s how it works: we welcome kiddos ages 8 and up. With the help of our staff, they will learn the history of Sam’s Pizza, how our dough is made & make their own pizza.

Harry Potter Potions Party (Rosholt & Plover)
Thursday 4pm (Rosholt) and Friday 10:30am (Plover)
Admission: Free
Details: Channel your inner wizard! Experience a Potions class, make Hogwarts-themed crafts, and more.

Kids Can Code! (Stevens Point)
Friday 9am – 12pm
Admission: Free
Details: Pacelli Catholic Middle School will be hosting a free coding event for kids, ages 7-12 on Friday, October 26. Kids Can Code! is a free community event encouraging students to learn about coding through fun, hands-on activities.

KidZ Art (Wisconsin Rapids)
Friday 10am – 11am
Admission: $5 – $8
Details: Kids will get a chance to use acrylics on canvas board or stretched canvas. We provide an artistic experience that is sure to leave a lasting “pumpkin” impression. Pre-registration required. Online registration available at parks.wirapids.org. Class held in Centralia Center Riverwalk.

Story Time at the Museum of Natural History (Stevens Point)
Friday 10am – 11am
Admission: Free
Details: Join the staff at the UW-Stevens Point Museum of Natural History as we read some nature/wildlife-themed children’s books and do some crafts/activities related to that week’s theme. Stories and activities are geared toward children ages 2-5, but anyone is welcome to join us.

Free Play Friday at Monk Botanical Gardens (Wausau)
Friday 1pm – 4pm
Admission: Free/Members, $3/Non-Members
Details: Want to explore and learn about the gardens at your own pace? Use our supplies and grab a bug net and see what you can catch, try out plant or animal identification books, or see things up close with a magnifying glass.

Trick-Or-Treating Downtown (Marshfield)
Friday 4pm – 5pm
Admission: Free
Details: Pumpkins, monsters, and goblins – oh my! Join us to trick-or-treat Downtown from 4-5:30 PM. Participating businesses will have a pumpkin poster in their window.

Monster Bash! Halloween Party and Dance (Wausau)
Friday 6pm – 8:30pm
Admission: $10/parent-child couple, $7 each additional person
Details: Do the Monster Mash with our awesome DJ,Justin Pitlik, at Wausau Children’s Museum’s First Annual Halloween Party! Children (and adults) are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes to come play, dance, and enjoy ghoulish science and art activities!

Candlelight Hike Festival at Schmeeckle Reserve (Stevens Point)
Friday 6pm – 9pm
Admission: Suggested donation of $2/person or $5/family
Details: Trails lit by torches and jack-o’-lanterns, a family-friendly campfire program at 6:30 and 7:30, crafts, snacks, s’mores, and interactive Passport Stations.

Tinker Time: Light Painting (Stevens Point)
Saturday 10am – 12pm
Admission: $5
Details: The family that tinkers together raises the next Bill Gates! Or at least they have some fun while learning. Join us at the IDEA Center (1039B Ellis Street) on the last Saturday of each month for Tinker Time! Build robots, write code, and make tech art together!

Healthy Halloween Hoedown (Stevens Point)

Downtown Point Trick or Treat (Stevens Point)
Saturday 1pm – 4pm
Admission: Free
Details: Take the kiddos downtown this or trick-or-treating on October 27th from 1-4pm! Downtown businesses that are participating will have signs on their doors inviting treat-or-treaters!

Malloween (Rothschild)
Saturday 3:30pm – 5pm
Details: Trick or Treat at the Cedar Creek Mall – Free Games/Prizes & Costume Contest

Fall Candlelight Walk (Merrill)
Saturday 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Details: Council Grounds State Park along with the Friends Group of Council Grounds will host a fall candlelight walk on Saturday, Oct, 28, from 6-8:30 p.m. Warming fires and light refreshments will be provided at the log shelter. For questions, call the park at 715-536-8773.

Community Halloween Party (Weston)
Sunday 1pm – 3pm
Admission: Free, Donations to Peyton’s Promise are appreciated
Details: Join us for our annual spooktacular Halloween Party on October 28th from 1-3pm at the Greenheck Field House in Weston!

Fall Fun Fest K.A.S.H. Park (Stevens Point)
Sunday 1pm – 4pm
Admission: Free
Details: The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting its annual Fall Fun Fest on Sunday, October 28 from 1:00-4:00 at KASH Park in Stevens Point. This event is free to the public and kids of all ages of welcome! Stations will include face painting, pumpkin painting, arts&crafts, pumpkin hockey, a candy leaf pile, and an obstacle course. Kids are also welcome to wear their Halloween costumes if they would like.
